I know that it’s September,
but summer is far from over in Louisiana.
The strawberries are sweeter than ever,
and a mojito was calling my name.
This cocktail is just what is needed when the temperature reaches 100 degrees.
3 strawberries, cut into halves
1 lime wedge
1 teaspoon sugar
8 mint leaves
2 ounces rum
strawberry half and lime wedge for garnish
In a shaker, combine the strawberries, lime wedge, sugar, and mint leaves. Muddle until all juices are releases. Add rum and ice and shake until well mixed. Pour, unstrained, into a glass filled with ice. Top with club soda and garnish with a strawberry and lime wedge.
