I don’t know if you follow football or not, but my home state took quite a beating the other night during the National Championship Game.
I had a great idea for a post on the game, tailgating, and a great dip (courtesy of my friend Nicole, i.e. “The Appetizer Queen” or so I call her).
But—all that changed with our disappointing loss.
I will say, though that we did have a 13-1 season—
And even though we did not win the National Championship we still are
Tigers Forever–Geaux LSU!!!
So now on to the party and a great tailgating recipe.
(We still have a chance with our Beloved Saints)
LSU Tailgating Party
We had a great time at work on Monday and all participated in a potluck-tailgating party.
We had dips and chips, sweets, wings, and pizza.
I must say, though that Tiger Pride was running full force.
I work with 16 other therapists and 2 techs. I feel very lucky to have such great co-workers.
We have fun and give great treatment to all of our patients.
(And, look how beautiful they all are–sorry Jeff–and handsome.)
Now, on to the food–
This dip is so good. It is probably my husband’s favorite. There are NEVER left overs.
French Loaf Dip
1 8-ounce package cream cheese
1 8-ounce container sour cream
1 can of diced green chilies with juice
1 jar dried beef, chopped
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
1 french loaf
Allow cream cheese to soften and add all ingredients together. Mix well. Hollow out the top of the french loaf and stuff with the mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Serve with crackers and pieces of toasted bread.
Enjoy and GO SAINTS!!!
