Happy Fall Y’all!! I’m so excited that it is officially Fall (even though it doesn’t quite feel like it yet). The calendar definitely says that it is Fall so I I have unleashed the pumpkins, maple leaves, acorns, and gourds all over my house. As I sit here smelling my pumpkin spice candle (yes, I am that basic) I’m planning a few fun ideas for the blog this month. Last month I shared my first ever Sweet Links and I thought that it would be fun to combine a few of my favorite things with the links that I’m loving right now.
|Parmesan Truffle Chips with Spinach & Onion Dip|
|Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Cookies
(of course-his sweet tooth is massive)
|Homemade Soft Pretzels with Jalapeño Beer Cheese
And I’ve got lots more definitely southern and utterly delicious ones coming for you in October.
Even though it still feels like summer here, the days are starting to get a little shorter and I’m starting to crave more cozy foods like gumbo, chili (you’ll see this recipe next week), and soup. Definitely more comfort foods instead of salads and lots of fall produce.
(Instapot Steak Chili)
These Chili & Honey Roasted Sweet Potatoes with Lime look absolutely amazing.
Oh my gosh–check out this Garlic & Herb Roasted Cherry Tomato Pizza with Carmelized Onions.
Definitely on my to-make list is this Chili Mango Shrimp Stir-Fry. I cannot wait.
I’m such an apple lover and this Applesauce Galette looks divine.
As soon as the Hatch chiles hit the grocery store- I’m on them and I’ll definitely be making this Easy One-Pot Hatch Chile Mac & Cheese.
I’m thinking that these Pumpkin Alfredo Stuffed Shells would make a for a perfect “girl’s-night-in” meal… just have to decide which wine to pair and I definitely want it to look just like this Halloween party.
Here’s the ultimate Fall Dinner Ideas–I want to make them all.
Another one of the things that I’m most excited for coming in October is that I’m going to share with you a few “Halloween Inspired” Cocktails that I’ve been working on. I can’t wait and a few of these have definitely inspired me.
Lastly, I’m all about the Halloween and fall decor. I just ordered a few new items that I’m super excited about from one of my favorite online boutiques, Waiting on Martha Home.
I also just updated the pots on my porch with a few mums and I’m waiting just a little bit longer for the pumpkins, but I’ll share as soon as it gets just a tad bit cooler. What are you excited about this month? Is Halloween your thing or do you keep it simple with fall decor?
