In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the cranberry juice, Grand Marnier, tequila, lime juice, and simple syrup. Shake vigorously and pour into a glass rimmed with salt. Top with three dashes of orange cream citrate and garnish with a few cranberries.
To make the ginger simple syrup:
In a small pot over medium heat add the water, sugar, and ginger. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar is dissolved. Allow the mixture to boil for about 5 minutes until just starting to thicken. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely. Remove the ginger.
