Pomegranate Manhattans are such a delicious fall-inspired cocktail and are perfect for those evenings with friends or with Words with Friends and a good television show; whichever you choose. So what is your evening ritual?? I would love to know what everyone does when they finally quiet down for the night. Do you read, watch TV, or just go to sleep? I usually settle down with my husband and animal kids for our nightly television watching, computer surfing, and catching up on our day. Lately, I’ve been playing quite a bit of Words With Friends while I’m brainstorming recipes and cocktails. I love the challenge.
Ingredients for a Pomegranate Manhattan…
- rye whiskey
- cognac
- pomegranate juice
- sweet vermouth
- pomegranate arils

Pomegranate is one of my all-time favorite flavors for cocktails. I love the sweet tartness of the pomegranate and I especially love pomegranate arils. (A few of my favorite pomegranate cocktails here, here, and here.) One of my all-time favorite ways to enjoy pomegranate juice is to drop a touch of it in a glass of champagne along with a few arils. Easy, simple and so, so good. (This cocktail was also part of my latest Spooktacular Cocktail Class, which was so much fun!)
