I absolutely love banana bread. Especially for breakfast. Warm it up, add a little honey butter and it’s perfect. This Pecan Toffee Banana Bread would even be great for dessert. I’ve made banana bread a lot of ways (here, here, and here), but I think this might just be my favorite version. Pecans and toffee are such a fantastic combination. Sweet, buttery toffee and crunchy and rich pecans. I don’t know if it gets any better than this delicious banana bread.

Pecan Toffee Banana Bread
Preheat oven to 375℉.
In a large bowl, add the mashed bananas, eggs, sugar, vanilla, oil, and sour cream. Stir to combine. In another bowl, add the flour, salt, baking soda, baking powder, and cinnamon. Mix well. Add the flour mixture to the banana mixture and mix well.
In a small, microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips in 30-second intervals at 50% power until completely melted.
Add 2 cups of the bread mixture to an oiled and floured loaf pan. Add half of the chocolate and swirl together with a knife. Repeat with the remainder of bread mixture and chocolate.
Bake for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until a toothpick when inserted comes out clean. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack until completely cooled before slicing and serving.
