My very green-thumbed husband actually went along with my latest idea to expand our outdoor living area. I suggested that we connect our vegetable garden area with our patio. He said–“That’s a good idea” and off we went. I was shocked because it definitely involved a lot of back breaking work. He’s pretty awesome, though. So instead of blogging, cooking, or cleaning the house this week—we did this.
Here is the area before, not bad–
Our vegetable gardens are connected to our patio via a few pieces of flagstone. We really liked how the flagstone looked and decided that it may be a good idea to add a few more pieces, so we went here–
A little over 2,000 pounds of flagstone and 18 cubic feet of pea gravel later, we got this—
I think that the new patio turned out great. Here it is connected to our existing patio—We had this patio built about 9 years ago. The landscaping is an ever evolving process.
My husband’s new project is an assortment of air plants–“Tillandsia”. These are really neat.
