I’ve found that it has been really hard for me to sit behind a computer this time of year. All I want to do is sit on our patio in the sun or linger in our garden. (This makes it really hard to write blog posts, edit photos, and let alone test recipes.) I’ll be over it soon though. It will get so hot that being outside will not be my favorite thing before long. But right now, I’m definitely going to enjoy this gorgeous spring weather.
We’ve been working in the garden every weekend and I can’t wait to do a new spring tour. That will definitely be coming soon. I’ve bought several new gorgeous plants and have spruced up a few of my annual pots and succulents.
I mean, how cute is this frog? I just love when I see things like this. Spring is such an awesome time of renewal and growth. The animals think so too, I think. I love seeing the fresh buds on my absolute favorite tree along with a gorgeous lime green tree frog getting ready to enjoy the bounties of our garden.

Reading—If you know me then you know that I love a good romance novel and I’ve been loving this series from Kristen Proby about a family in New Orleans. They are light and easy reads–love it. I’ve also recently read The Winter Witch by Paula Brackson which was so, so good. Our book club is reading Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid which I haven’t finished yet but will have a full review for you next month.
Watching– I’ve been binge watching several things right now. I’m almost finished with the 2nd season of The Handmaid’s Tale and I love it so much. I’m also really into American Idol right now. I can’t even remember when I watched it last, but it seems like they are so good this year. I’m also really loving lots of crime/police shows like The Fix, Presumed Innocent, and The Rookie. I’ve also been watching Game of Thrones a little while I’m waiting patiently for the final season.
Cooking— Easter and Hawaii are truly my meal planning inspirations right now. Easter always has a special place in my heart because it usually always falls close to my birthday. I’ve been working on several different ideas that I have for an Easter brunch and dinner. I’ve got several sourdough recipes coming for you soon too (since I’ve made my own starter). I can’t wait to try different loaves of bread and even English muffins. I’ve also really been loving making my own almond milk and cashew milk. They are just so good. I’ve definitely got a few ideas for using these milks in the works. (Don’t forget to stop by Ellie’s Best for 10% off your cart using code “sabrinan“.)
Drinking—I hope y’all are ready for it, but I’ve got several Mint Juleps coming in April (since April is officially Mint Julep Month). It has been so much fun testing these recipes and making them. I love a good Mint Julep. I actually love any cocktail with mint. I’ve also been experimenting with a few different syrups and really loving these.
Shopping— My spring fashion favorites will be on the blog soon. I’ve got about a month until Hawaii and I’ve been trying to shop for different beach-inspired looks. I’m still on the hunt for a special outfit for a Hawaiian photo shoot. All ideas are welcome! So I’m all about outdoor entertaining right now and I am I’m loving these pillows and accessories for our patio. I’m also really wanting to try these Flyaway Insect Sticks. I’ve also got my eye on this candleholder for our dining room and this runner for my kitchen table.
I hope everyone is having a Happy Spring—Goodbye March and Hello April!
