I have been going crazy over limoncello lately and I think that I have discovered this week’s favorite cocktail. (Yes, it changes every week, but this is quarantine and my drinking has been increased just a little, so that is completely acceptable right now.) This Limoncello Gin Martini is the perfect combination of delicious Empress 1908 Gin, bright limoncello, freshly squeezed lemon juice, a little sweetener, and a touch of Amaro Nonino. In this cocktail, you definitely taste the flavors of grapefruit and orange in the gin and Amaro which give the cocktail a definite citrus advantage. It’s light, refreshing, and sweet-tart. It’s a delicious, easy-drinking cocktail.
Every time I use Empress Gin, I ‘m always surprised at the color that it becomes. The gin starts out an indigo color. I was totally surprised when this cocktail turned out light corally-pink. It’s beautiful.
