I’m really looking forward to New Year’s Eve, we will be celebrating very low-key at a friend’s house–PJ party here we come!! We usually go with a group of friends to a fancy dinner and a weekend in Dallas, but how the holiday falls we really aren’t wanting to go out of town due to work commitments.

There’s just something about New Year’s that offers a sense of renewal. I love how you can feel as though you can just start over as the New Year begins. I’ve recently started going to Pilates two to three times a week and I absolutely love it. I’ve really slipped with my commitment to being healthier this year and I hope to renew that commitment in 2019. I don’t want to set a goal weight or anything drastic like that but I hope to definitely lose a little weight and improve my balance and muscle tone. I also really just want to feel better. I always try to avoid lots of processed foods due to my allergies, but definitely one of my goals is to get away from most if not all processed foods–I think this is a big goal, but I’m going to try. I know from experience that you can eat healthy and delicious at the same time. I just forgot for a little while.
Here are a few inspiring blogs that I follow to help with my health goals:
Skinnytaste–her blog is amazing. I have her cookbooks and they are some of my favorite. She doesn’t skimp on flavor, but her recipes are all about good, whole foods and portion control.

PaleOMG–I’m not really all into paleo, but she has great recipes. She’s a cross-fitter, which I am scared to death of, but her level of fitness is awe-inspiring.
Eat Yourself Skinny–she has beautiful and healthy recipes and her food photography is on point.
The Foodie Physician–I love that this blogger is a physician and chef and inspires to make popular recipes a little bit healthier.
Heather Christo–I love, love, love her blog. She has beautiful, amazing recipes. Everything is also allergen free, which is fantastic.

Since I’m also working out more, here are a few of my favorite workout items right now–

So far we have a trip planned to Portland (our favorite) and Oahu, Hawaii. I’m so excited and can’t wait to plan and experience these vacations. I’m also working on something for late next year, but I’ll share once the plans are nailed down. Also, I’m planning a little blog re-do soon so this will be my last post of the year. I hope that everyone has a wonderful New Year!!
