All of the food is amazing.
They make these Greek Wedding Cookies (Kourabiedes) that I am completely obsessed with.
I would then think that they were just ok–not completely ridiculously delicious.
Hope you like them as much as me (and if you don’t let me know and I’ll send you my address so you can send me yours. )
1 cup slivered almonds, toasted
1/2 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 sticks butter
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup powdered sugar
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
In the bowl of a food processor, add the almonds and sugar and grind until the consistency of cornmeal. Add the flour, salt, and butter and pulse until combined. Add the almond extract and combine. Process the mixture until it starts to form a ball of dough.
Remove the dough from the food processor and make into balls. If the balls start to break, refrigerate the dough for a few minutes to allow it to come back together.
Place the balls on a baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes. Do not over brown the cookies.
Allow the cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet. Place each in the powdered sugar and coat well.
